The PS124D Ultimo PowerSlim subwoofers start with a beefy die-cast aluminum chassis to give the cone and mechanism solid support. Its HexaCore carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb flat piston cone combines the rigidity needed to minimize distortion with the light weight needed for responsiveness. Morel's EVC™ (External Voice Coil) motor technology features a huge 5.1" external voice coil wound from lightweight Hexatech™ aluminum wire to achieve 700 watts RMS power handling (2100 watts peak), while the Progressive Field Symmetry (PFS) suspension provides support and allows greater cone movement for more impact.
